Ordinances

2001 - 002: An ordinance granting cash incentive to any person or group of persons who apprehended and cooperated or helped in the prosecution of violators of Municipal Fishery Ordinances, and for other purposes.
1998 - 01: An ordinance declaring the whole island of Cabilao as birds and wildlife sanctuary
  and providing penalties for violation thereof.
1998 - 02: An ordinance fixing the new fare rates of motorized tricycles and "motorelas".
1998 - 03: An ordinance granting special privilege and/or exemption to all members of senior
  citizens associations from the "tabo" system.
1998 - 04: Municipality of Loon Scholarship Grant ordinance.
1998 - 05: An ordinance prescribing the Internal Rules of Procedure of the Sangguniang

CURRENT DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

SPECIAL PROJECTS

Jumpstarting Electronic Governance in Local Government Units (e.LGU). This project, which aims to give the Loon LGU a headstart in computerization by making it more capable of embracing information and communications technology in its operations for better public service, is implemented in coordination with the National Computer Center of the Department of Science and Technology.

Comprehensive Integrated Delivery of Social Services (CIDSS). Communities that need livelihood assistance and more access to basic social services have been selected to benefit from this project that is coordinated by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Community-Based Resource Management Project (CBRMP). In 2000, Loon received P4.7 million from the World Bank through the Department of Finance for this ongoing project that involves natural resource management, livelihood assistance and small-scale yet strategic infrastructure development in nine coastal barangays.

Early Childhood Development (ECD) Project. Also in 2000, Loon received another World Bank grant to enhance the delivery of services for pre-school children. The package includes improvement of health stations and day-care centers, purchase of relevant publications and other learning gadgets for a children's resource center, and hiring of ECD workers.

Integrated Health Services and Health Support Infrastructure Project for Bohol Province. Loon is included among the 27 municipalities in Bohol where this project will be implemented in coordination with the Culion Foundation, Inc. starting 2003. One of the project components is strengthening of Barangay Health Stations.
