TENTATIVE PROGRAM

28 August, Sunday • Mass at 8:00 am
•Registration (Pre-registration by respective groups is encouraged.)
• Opening ceremonies and grand parade (prizes may be at stake for liveliest group, most number of participants, best in costume, etc.)
• Barangay Fiesta (Lunch): Everybody is encouraged to buy food at stalls or booths/huts put up by each of the eight districts of Loon at the church plaza. The basketball and tennis courts serve as dining areas.
• Evening: welcome dinner and fellowship sponsored by the Local Government Unit
 
29 August, Monday • Opening of exhibits featuring Loon's rich cultural heritage in

photos and artifacts; may include a painting exhibit of Loonanon artists like Carling Masalta, the Maestrado and Relampagos families, Reynald Luminarias (digital photo artist), etc.
•Launching of a book on Loon
• Cultural Heritage Walk: a tour of Loon's heritage structures (e.g., circular cemetery, kiosk, American-era public plaza, Ferandos House, Kasilak Church, Inang-angan, Tulay, etc., to include viewing of actual livelihood activities like weaving (puso', mats, hats and baskets), tuba-making and binago processing.
• Evening: Halad Lumad Loonanon, an evening of folk music and dances (e.g., balitaw, kuradang, rondalla, etc.)
• Recognition of outstanding Loonanons
 
30 August, Tuesday • Ukay-ukay Bazaar, a fund-raising activity of the balikbayans
for a future project
• Meeting of the medical group
• Tennis and volleyball games at the church plaza
• Evening: Basketball games

 
31 August, Wednesday
• Moalong River Historical and Eco-cultural Cruise and Trek
• Tour of Sandingan and Cabilao Islands (BYOP) with options to swim or dive in one of the world's best dive sites (off Cabilao) or trek to a lake in Pantudlan
• Evening: Fiesta nightly activities
 
1 September, Thursday • Free medical clinic
• Alumni homecoming at separate venues: SHA, UB (Loon Institute), other secondary schools c/o respective alumni associations
• Evening: Fiesta nightly activities
 
2 September, Friday • Multi-sectoral Professional Forum: a venue for development
partnerships (e.g., scholarships, project sponsorships, donations, etc.) and investment opportunities
• Evening: "Drama" or community theater by local performers (Barangay Napo). Option: to hold the drama in Napo to experience the actual setting/ambience of this ages-old tradition.
 
3 September, Saturday • Free day: the balikbayans may opt to visit other destinations
in Loon (like the Big Cross pilgrimage site in Cabug, Lintuan Beach and other recreation sites) or go on a Bohol tour
• Evening: Concert of Loonanon talents (e.g., Luke Mejares, Joan Almedilla, Sonia Sanguenza, etc.)
 
4 September, Sunday • Thanksgiving Mass
• Cornerstone laying at sites of proposed projects (e.g., Birhen sa Kasilak Shrine at Barangay Napo)
• Evening: Coronation rites for the popularity contest winners and awarding of prizes (sports competitions)
 
Other features: • Daily service of food counters at the church plaza where the
  balikbayans can purchase food, usually for lunch (or anytime by arrangement).
  • Souvenirs and other items to be sold at designated stalls; open only to Loonanon entrepreneurs.
