LEGEND

ALIGUAY ( 1902 ) - During the Spanish regime, many farmers grazed their working animals in this barangay which has formerly called as Kasuades. In that area, a certain Ali owned a bast tract of land. During those days, the farmers compete with each other in grazing their herds of cattle in that area. When somebody was asked where to graze their animals, the ready answer was " adto ka Ali iluguay ". " Iluguay " or ituguay" is a Visayan term which means to graze.
One day there was a conflict between the farmers as to whoever should first graze in that area. The conflict resulted to the death of one farmer. From that time on, the place was called Aliguay, deribed from the words " Ali " and " luguay ".
