LEGEND
| |
BOOD ( 1887 ) - The barangay got its name from the word
"tubod " which refers to the spring of clear and
fresh water located at the bayside of Maribojoc. It is the main source
of water supply for the barrio folks since time immemorial. During
droughts, People from the neighboring barangays also fetch water from
this spring in times of long droughts. In this spring, people gather
to do their laundry jobs, bathing and cleaning other households items.
Some elders say that the name Bood was deribed from the word "bolod"
which means as mountain. Bood is a mountainous place and its center
of population is located at the foot of the mountain ranges of Maribojoc
along the shores of Maribojoc Bay.
