LEGEND
| |
PUNSOD ( 1956 ) - Punsod was once a part of Aliguay and Bayacabac.
Water is very scarce in the area especially during summer days. The
river and springs, as their source of water, were too far and the
people have to walk long distances to secure water for their daily
consumption. During rainy season, the people used big jars placed
under coconut trees with bamboo poles connected to it serving as gutters
in collecting water. These bamboo gutters were locally known as "
pansud ". The "pansud" were widely used
in the place in which the name of barangay Punsod originated.
