LEGEND
| |
TINBGAN ( 1894 ) - The old folks who are residing in
this barangay narrated that the name Tinibgan was deribed from the
word " tigib " or chisel. There are many springs
in this place. These springs are located at the base of the huge mountains
that appeared to be carbed by big chisels or " tigib ".
This is the reason why the early natives called the place Tinibgan.
It may also be logical to say that the name Tinibgan is coined from
the word " tubig " which means water. Due to the abundance
of water in the area during the early days, the place was called "
tinubigan " which may be shortened as Tinibgan.
